Next year, I get the opportunity to join a group of educators in opening a new school. I spent about four hours tonight at the new school putting together desks and cabinets with my trusty drill, and I also sneaked in a little tour of the building while I was there.
It’s unbelievable. It’s like the schools you see kids attending in tv shows.
More later, I’m sure, but for now, I’ll leave you with my greatest discovery thus far:
I have a window.

What do you mean you have a window … are you telling me there are classrooms without windows??? I kinda hope I’ve just got this wrong …. I can’t imagine a day without windows!!!

The room I’m in now has no windows. Congrats on the new school, don’t know if the fountain is a good idea though. I hope the carpet is waterproof!
I JUST CAN’T IMAGINE IT …. I AM SOOOOOO LUCKY … ALL THE CLASSROOMS HAVE WINDOWS IN MY SCHOOL AND MY CLASS HAS THEM ON BOTH SIDES … I’LL APPRECIATE THE VIEW ALL A LOT MORE!!!
